Claire Mack

Ella nació en 1965, una californiana de pura cepa, aunque ha pasado la mayor parte de su vida en el fresco y lluvioso paisaje cubierto de musgo del Noroeste del Pacífico. Sus primeros recuerdos de pintura implicaban salpicar acuarela sobre una hoja de papel y doblarla para que los dos lados se mezclaran e imprimieran entre sí, creando una experiencia mágica y trascendental en su mente de niña de 5 años.

En 1987, obtuvo una licenciatura en Bellas Artes en Pintura del California College of Arts. A lo largo de los años, el arte ha seguido siendo una fuente de trascendencia para ella. Cree que el arte tiene una influencia curativa profunda tanto en el artista como en el espectador. A través de la representación de la belleza, la verdad y el reconocimiento de la condición humana, nuestros espíritus se elevan y se conectan a un nivel más profundo.

En su trabajo, ella retrata imágenes figurativas, seres simbólicos que representan su experiencia interna y su proceso de vida. Claire Mack

She was born in 1965, a native Californian, although she has spent most of her life in the cool, rainy, moss-covered landscape of the Pacific Northwest. Her earliest painting memories involved dabbing watercolor on a sheet of paper and folding it over so that the two sides would mix and imprint on each other, creating a magical and transcendent experience in her 5-year-old mind.

In 1987, she received a BFA from the California College of Arts in Painting. Throughout the years, creating art has continued to be a source of transcendence for her. She believes that art has a profound healing influence on both the artist and the viewer. By depicting beauty, truth, and the recognition of the human condition, our spirits are uplifted and connected on a deeper level.

In her work, she portrays figurative images, symbolic beings that represent her inner experience and life process. More often than not, she works intuitively, allowing the images to take shape as she goes. Thus, each piece is unique, connected by the thread of her spirit and surroundings. She also draws inspiration from nature, which serves as a constant source of inspiration and healing energy. As an artist, her hope is to provide a common visual language that is both provocative and soothing to those who resonate with her work.

Most of her pieces are built up on panels or canvas using multiple layers that may include paint, charcoal, antique and decorative papers, thread, fabric, gold leaf, wax, pencil, and crayon.
